Natsu Matsuri in Hongo

Venue: Hongo, Mihara
Phichet, Kak Yat and I received an invitation from Takako sensei to visit her in Hongo in conjunction with the Natsu Matsuri held there. K Yat could not go as she had tons of assignments to finish.
So, only Phichet and my family went to Hongo that day.We took the local train to Hongo and then were taken around Hongo and Mihara for a brief tour before heading for the Matsuri...

Picnic @ Sunami Beach, Mihara
|

We were invited by the MISC people to Mihara for a picnic.
At first, I was a bit reluctant to go but I am very happy I did.
Everybody had fun. Even my daughter who did not have a swimsuit (she had outgrown hers and we didn't bother buying a new one, thinking that we would never go swimming in Japan) enjoyed herself tremendously. What else can I say? The food was good, the company was great and the fun that we had was a treasure! Even the foul weather could not dampen our spirits

YUKATA MATSURI

Tahun ni, kitorang join Yukata Matsuri anjuran Hirodai. Siap masak mee sup untuk dijual di gerai! Malam sebelum Yukata Matsuri, sibuk memasak mee sup di rumah. Pagi esok plak sibuk berjualan di gerai sampai malam...

Yanase Sensei organized this trip so that I could interview Prof Ozasa for some info regarding my thesis paper.
I was so nervous before the interview session thinking that Prof Ozasa would be un co-operative, demanding, strict etc but he proved to be just the opposite! He was really nice and friendly. On top of that he made the interview session ran smoothly with his prepared( and typed-written) answers complete with a power point presentation!
We had a lot of fun throughout the trip to Fukuyama Heisei University. And surprisingly, Yanase Sensei let loose and showed us a different side of him which we have never seen before. Hora Hora.
