Sansara
We were invited by Nanba san to experience Ghanaian culture in Sansara. Doris and her husband, Chris entertained us( as well as 15 other guests) with some Ghanaian dance and music. The outdoor performance cum picnic was simply worth the half an hour journey to Fukutomi-cho.

Salam Bollywood @ Bihoku Park
We were invited by Mahil-san to his darling daughter's first birthday party at Bihoku Hillside Park. The 2 hour journey was really worth it. Not only did we enjoy good food but we also had the pleasure of being up close and personal with zillions of different colour and different breed of tulips imaginable. This episode of "Salam Bollywood" did not seem to appeal to the young ones. Luckily, there was a huge playground to keep them entertained.

Hanami@Kagamiyama Koen
We received 2 invites for hanami cum BBQ party at Kagamiyama Koen on Sunday- one from the Malaysian Student Association and the other from Sweeties Communication Cafe. Since both started at a relatively similar time we had no choice but to switch between the two spots. Thank goodness that they were not very far from each other...
Apart from the hassle of hopping from one spot to the other and the slight drizzle (which Neesa chan did not seem to mind), we truly enjoyed the day... The food was splendid, the company was great and most importantly, the sakuras were in full bloom.

Entrance Ceremony
Hari ini secara rasminya genap setahun Neesa chan di Goikuho Hoikusyo (walaupun Neesa chan masuk sekolah awal seminggu dari orang lain tahun lepas...)
Entrance ceremony ni diadakan setiap tahun sempena bermulanya sesi persekolahan.

Sotsuensiki @ Neesa chan's Hoikuen
Attended the Graduation Party at Goikuho Hoikuen this morning. Eventhough it was not for Neesa chan nor her kumi, the school invited me to witness this very special ceremony.
The formal graduation ceremony was held in the shrine next to the school. The graduates were dressed in a special poncho cum robe as they were called to the front to receive their certificate from the principal.
After a group photo session of the 'graduates' and their families as well as the Senseis, we adjourned to the school hall for the informal post-party.
Not only did we have lunch together (in the form of halal sandwiches) but we were also entertained with a few performances by the Senseis and the students.
The graduation ceremony today was not only to celebrate the students who are going to be promoted to elementary school but also as a gesture of thanks to the Senseis who had been preparing the students for school life.
